DHL cargo plane crashed on to a busy Italian road early on Friday morning after overshooting the runway at an airport north-east of Milan.
Two-person crew of the aircraft escaped unharmed from the incident, and there were no injuries on the ground.
DHL 737-400 aircraft, which had flown in from Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, slid through fences after landing at Bergamo's Orio al Serio airport.
Local media said there had been bad weather in the area at the time of the crash.
